At the beginning of the 19th century, she renovated the interiors, had a superb stone staircase built and surrounded the house with a vast park.
Upon her father's death, Marie-Aurore became the guardian of the future George Sand. A young girl inherited the estate at the end of 1821.Throughout her life, she frequently stayed in Nohant, a refuge where she felt particularly at ease. The author found inspiration there, worked extensively, and spent wonderful moments with her children, Solange and Maurice, and all the friends she entertained there. Among them were...
