Located in the heart of the Brenne Regional Natural Park, the Château d'Azay-le-Ferron, rich in architecture spanning from the 15th to the 18th centurywill transport you through styles and eras. 


Throughout the visit, you will discover living rooms, bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, librarythat is about one fifteen sumptuously furnished rooms in which lived the Hersent-Luzarche family, owners since 1852The last descendant of this family, Marthe Hersent-Luzarch, bequeathed the estate to the city of Tours in 1951, giving it the mission of opening the doors of this exceptional place to the public. 


This exceptional ensemble is housed in a a remarkable green setting of 26 hectares redesigned by Denis and Eugène Bülher, famous 19th-century landscape architects. They envisioned a landscaped park enhanced with numerous groves where a multitude of tree species, boxwood parterres, and topiary stand side by side, the collection of which is renowned as one of the finest in France. The walk continues into the flower gardens where the collectible rose dominatesA heritage orchard featuring old varieties of apples and pears complements the site's plant diversity. 


The costumed guided tours These tours will allow you to discover the castle from a new perspective. They will notably offer the opportunity to glimpse rooms usually closed to the public, while also providing a chance to meet with guides and actors over a tasting of local products.
